The ToxIC Registry has developed an enhanced sentinel event detection instrument to identify novel opioids and psychostimulants encountered by medical toxicologists during patient consultations and toxicology evaluations.
ToxIC Novel Opioid and Stimulant Exposures (ToxIC NOSE) is two-year project that will allow ACMT to enhance reporting to its members and the Opioid Response Network (ORN) regarding novel opioids and psychostimulants. Using data from the ToxIC Registry, quarterly reports will highlight cases involving novel and emerging exposures in approximately 35 sites across the United States.
